Today a wide variety of age groups participate in the social media site known as Instagram. Insagram was released on October 6, 2010, and quickly became the number one app within 24 hours of launch. When launched it was only available for iPhones. Soon after it became the IPhone App of the week, and holds the record for quickly reaching one million downloads.

Instagram comes in seven different languages. It lets others share pictures, videos and collages. When you snap a picture you can apply numerous filters to change your picture with various effects. You can also add people to your “friends list” so that they can view and share the photos you take. Not only can you add friends, you can follow random strangers! Isn’t that amazing!

So all you little fan girls can follow your band members and your actors or whatever you’re into, this site is pretty good for people to stay in touch; it’s like Facebook, without all the technicalities.
