Librarian April Geltch talks of events for school library

The Colton library has some cool upcoming events that students should get involved in. You can vote for your favorite books here at your school library! Get involved and learn more on the Colton library website that has more cool things you can look at as well as books! Books at the Colton library are so important because you can have one of your favorite books you can check out. Don’t be shy; learn more about books just at your school library.

 

Pepperbough- Are there any upcoming library events?

Geltch– “Yes, one event is the book of the year which contains 3 rounds and another is the Barnes and Noble book fair.”

Pepperbough– How does the book of the year contest work?

Geltch– “It is made up of 3 rounds, the first round there will be 10-20 top books. 2nd round students will choose the top 5-10 books. The 3rd round will show the number 1 book to the number 5 book.”

Pepperbough– When are the events taking place?

Geltch– “November 2nd is the first round, November 5th-16th is the second round , and November 26th -30th  is the 3rd round. November 30th is the book fair.”

Pepperbough– What types of books will be at the book fair?

Geltch– “All types of books: everything and anything. There will also be toys, gifts, and food items.”

Pepperbough– What is the price range of the items at the book fair?

Geltch– “Not an exact price range, but if I had to take a guess it would be from 10 to 25 dollars.”

Pepperbough– What will be at the Barnes and Noble book fair?

Geltch– “There will be refreshments from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. And RSP teacher John Duke, librarian Jose Calderone, and English teacher Jeremiah Dollins will be playing music. There will also be games to play.”

Pepperbough– What does the Colton Library website have?

Geltch– “It contains important information and fun things to look at, also you can vote on the website for the contest and it’s all about books.”
